Description
All are welcome
10-12 August
for Lin Dhu Gathering and Healing Fest 2012
Now entering its 9th year Lin Dhu, as it has become known, continues to evolve and find its own level. Open to all, no matter what your path, here you can make new friends, renew old friendships, find your own space, or just relax around a fire pit. This years event is in a beautiful secluded locaton near to Caistor in the Wolds of Lincolnshire, where the site is woven through charming woodland, with the main village area centered around the eclectic entertainment barn and paddock. The village is where to eat, drink or just chill out, visit the trade and craft stalls, see a healer, therapist or reader, relax by the evening fires, or just where to see street performers and fire poi demonstrations through out the day. While just outside the village you will find the labyrinth, and a short walk away The Meditation Grove.
Talks & Workshops
This year we have an excellent selection of talks and workshops, from some great speakers, that will take place in and around the entertainment barn. The talks and workshops are scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday, between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
The Reluctant Medium, Practical Feltcraft, Hedgerow Herbs, Biodynamic Gardening and Farming, Indigenous Tribes of Britain, Practical Wand Making, Heaven & Earth Tai Chi, Angels, Spiral Healing, Making Magickal Cords, Spirits of the Land, Crystal Healing, The Spirituality of Henna Art
Children's Activities & Adventure TrailSupervised children's activities are held in a covered outbuilding, just across from the entertainment barn. The activities are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and include Poi Lessons, Creative Crafts, Story Telling and a Percussion Band.
The Adventure playground is an outdoor obstacle course, running through the surrounding trees, including a leaf pit, climbing logs, a tyre wall, and a log swing. The playground is available for use by both children and young-minded adults, though we ask that when playing in this area young children are supervised by a responsible adult.
The Grove of Mercia exists to provide a safe meeting place for all who are on their path, and for all who are seeking their path, irrespective of what that path may be. We will endeavour to provide you with the information you require to benefit you on your quest for personal development and enlightenment as you seek to regain the balance in your life at a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
We will encourage you to take responsibility for your own life, and your actions, in the acceptance of who you are, enabling you to develop self-understandin,g and patience and tolerance with yourself and others.
